The Celine McAllen Cozad Endowment for Tuition Assistance reflects the generosity and enduring love of Celine McAllen Cozad, a proud 1953 graduate of Incarnate Word High School. A devout Catholic and passionate supporter of IWHS, Celine established this endowment to provide tuition assistance to students, ensuring that more young women have the opportunity to benefit from the exceptional education and values-based foundation that IWHS offers. Her commitment to supporting future generations embodies her deep faith and unwavering dedication to the school she cherished.
Qualifications: Must be a student in good standing and demonstrate financial need. Student must complete the Hope for the Future application.
The Colonel Roger J. Labat Endowment honors the visionary leadership of Colonel Roger J. Labat, a former principal of Incarnate Word High School. During his tenure, he propelled IWHS to new heights through dynamic partnerships and innovative initiatives, fostering one of the largest student enrollments in the school’s history. This endowment celebrates his transformative impact, supporting the continued growth and excellence of IWHS and ensuring future students benefit from the thriving legacy he helped create.
Qualifications:
Student must be a choral member or a relative of IWHS alumnae.
Definition of Relative: Relative is defined by blood or marriage, and includes step-relative counterparts and legal guardianships, and is further defined as follows: sister, daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter, niece, great niece, first cousin, aunt.
Must be a rising 11th or 12th grader that has attended IWHS for at least two consecutive years.
Must have 90% GPA or higher and maintain a record of good behavior, not have excessive tardies, absences or demerits, and must be up-to-date on community service hour requirements.
Participate in a minimum of 2 extra-curricular activities for at least two years at IWHS.
Complete a 100 word essay and obtain a Letter of Recommendation from an IWHS teacher, IWHS athletic coach, IWHS club or class sponsor.

The Judith Luckett Scholarship honors the dedication and service of Judith Luckett to the Incarnate Word High School community. This scholarship is specifically designed to support seniors who are meeting graduation requirements but have encountered financial difficulties that could affect their ability to graduate from IWHS.
Qualifications:
The student must be admitted to IWHS, be enrolled in her senior year, and must be meeting graduation requirements to graduate in May of that same academic year.
The student must have maintained a passing academic record for the prior two consecutive years of at least a 75 average with no course failures in the second semester of the junior year or course failures in the senior year.
The student must have maintained a record of good behavior, must not have excessive tardies, absences or demerits, and must be current and meeting community service hour requirements.
The student must submit the application, which includes information concerning financial need; a 100 word essay; and a letter of recommendation from an IWHS teacher, adult coach, club or class sponsor.
Student must complete the Hope for the Future application.
Students who otherwise meet the eligibility requirements to apply and complete the application are not guaranteed a scholarship but will be given equal consideration as all other applicants.
The scholarship is based on financial need as determined by the IWHS Scholarship Committee and is not renewable and shall not be awarded to the same person twice.

The Judy Bel Scholarship honors the legacy of Judy Bel, a beloved English teacher and Academic Dean at Incarnate Word High School. Known for her love of teaching, Judy inspired her students to think critically, write insightfully, and confront issues of social justice. Her dedication to excellence extended beyond the classroom, shaping both her students and her three daughters who graduated from IWHS. This scholarship celebrates her lasting impact by supporting students who embody the values she championed.

The Mamie Wong Moy Endowed Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of Mamie Wong Moy, an accomplished alumna of Incarnate Word High School. Born in 1929 to immigrant parents in San Antonio, Mamie defied societal expectations, earning a chemistry degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1950 as the only woman in her class. She later joined the University of Houston's Department of Chemistry as a faculty member. Throughout her career, Mamie’s passion was promoting student interest in S.T.E.M., particularly supporting girls and young women in the sciences.
Qualifications:
Must be a rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade student who obtains an 80% GPA or higher.
Students must be in good community standing and demonstrate leadership.
The Mary Ann de la Garza Endowment Fund celebrates the remarkable contributions of Mary Ann de la Garza, a proud alumna of the Class of 1969 and a beloved member of the Incarnate Word High School community. As a dedicated math teacher and director of the madrigals and choir, Mary Ann has inspired generations of students with her passion for education, music, and service. This endowment fund reflects her unwavering commitment to nurturing academic excellence.
Qualifications:
Must be admitted and enrolled at IWHS and be entering her sophomore, junior or senior year and must have been a student in IWHS for one year.
Student must be a relative of IWHS alumnae.

Mary Jane overcame the challenges of polio to dedicate her life to advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities. Her work influenced disability programs across 12 countries and shaped state and national policies through her appointments to key advisory boards. Guided by her Catholic faith, she committed her life to improving the lives of others and ensuring her legacy would continue to inspire change.
The Mary Ninfa Ozuna ’79 Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Mary Ninfa Ozuna, a beloved alumna of the Class of 1979 and former Admissions Director at Incarnate Word High School. Known for her warm hospitality, friendly demeanor, and unwavering dedication, Mary Ninfa embodied the spirit of IWHS by making every student, family, and visitor feel genuinely welcomed and valued. This scholarship celebrates her commitment to opening doors of opportunity and fostering a sense of belonging within the IWHS community.
Qualifications:
Must be admitted to and enrolled at IWHS.
The student must have maintained an academic record for two years of at least a 85 average (or equivalent if incoming Freshman) based on a scale of 100.
The student must have maintained a record of good behavior, must not have excessive tardies, absences or demerits, and must be up-to-date on community service hour requirements.
Eligible students may apply for this scholarship by completing an application form which requirements include: 100 word essay demonstrating a commitment to the Incarnate Word community and one letter of recommendation from a teacher, adult coach, club or class sponsor.
The student and her family must demonstrate a financial need.
The recipient must participate in an IWHS fundraising activity by the Advancement Office.
Mother St. Pierre founded the Sisters of the Incarnate Word of San Antonio in 1869 alongside Sisters Madeleine and Agnes under Bishop Claude Dubuis. Appointed superioress in 1872, she led the congregation with vision and dedication, recruiting members, training them for education and health care, and establishing schools and hospitals across Texas and beyond. Her legacy lives on through the continued mission of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word.
Qualifications:Must be a student in good standing and demonstrate a deep commitment to community service.
The Valedictorian Scholarship recognizes academic excellence by awarding a $1,500 scholarshipto incoming 9th-grade students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to their studies from their middle school.
Qualifications:Family must provide letter of verification of Valedictorian status from middle school administration. Scholarship is awarded during the first year of enrollment.
The Salutatorian Scholarship recognizes academic excellence by awarding $1,000 scholarship to incoming 9th-grade students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to their studies from their middle school.
Qualifications: Family must provide letter of verification of Salutatorian status from middle school administration. Scholarship is awarded during the first year of enrollment.
The Public School Welcome Scholarship is designed to support students transitioning from public schools to IWHS. This scholarship recognizes academic potential, leadership qualities, and a desire for personal growth, offering an opportunity to access a faith-based, college-preparatory education.
Qualifications: The Student must be joining IWHS from a public school. The scholarship is awarded during the first year of enrollment.
The Student must have graduated from St. Anthony Catholic School, Blessed Sacrament, or St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School to qualify and start at IWHS in their 9th grade year. $1,500 awarded every year the student is enrolled at IWHS.
A 50% discount per 25 students. The amount of 50% slots is determined by the potential total number of students for the year. The 50% discount is determined by seniority at UIW. A 20% discount will be given to those who do not meet the top 50% slots.
