Incarnate Word High School (IWHS) was founded in 1881 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. The IWHS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) exists to promote the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Incarnate Word to “prepare confident young women dedicated to academic excellence, integrity, community of faith, compassion, service, and stewardship.”
The PTO strives to support the school, potential families choosing a Catholic high school for their daughter(s), and provide parent ambassadors to families seeking an all-girls Catholic high school education. The PTO helps to build and foster an inclusive community by planning events and providing opportunities for parents, extended family, students, and potential students to come together and become more involved with the school. Our PTO aims to create a welcoming community.
The PTO sponsors support various school activities, events, service projects, and fundraisers throughout the school year. In addition to school events sponsored by the PTO, we will support other events hosted by the school, the Board of Trustees, the Alumnae Association, and the Athletic Booster Club to the best of our ability.
Our PTO assists parents, faculty, staff, and students in acquiring a profound appreciation of the ideals of an all-girls Catholic education.
Through our service to the IWHS PTO, we become role models to our daughters on the importance of service to the community, thereby making the world a better place.
