8th Grade Catholic School Tours

When: September 25th-26th
Where:IWHS Campus
Time: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Eighth graders from local Catholic schools visit IWHS to discover what it is like to be a Shamrock! They learn about academics, clubs and organizations, traditions, and more from our current students.
Fall Open House - October 9th

When: Wednesday, October 9th
Where: IWHS Campus
Time: 5:00 - 7:00 pm

Middle school students and their families can visit IWHS, receive a school tour, meet the faculty and staff, and receive fun goodies!

All middle school students are welcome.
Middle School Night Volleyball Tailgate - Tuesday, October 22nd

When: Tuesday, October 22nd
Where: IWHS Gym
Time: 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Co-sponsored with Athletics

Enjoy hotdogs, hamburgers, and more while seeing our Shamrocks play against St. Dominic!

All middle school students are welcome.
Spaghetti with the Sisters - October 28th

When: Monday, October 28th
Where: IWHS Cafeteria
Time: 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Co-sponsored with the Spanish Department

Middle school students and families are invited to meet the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word to learn about our heritage while enjoying a spaghetti dinner and playing lotería.

Sundae Funday - November 17th

When: Sunday, November 17th
Where: IWHS Cafeteria
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Co-sponsored with Rosary Club
Spend a morning with the Rosary Club by giving back to our community while earning service hours. After the service project, enjoy a sundae bar with IWHS students. Students and families are welcome to attend!

Girls Night In: Movie in McGowen Gym - November 22nd

When: Friday, November 22nd
Where: IWHS McGowen Gym
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Co-sponsored with Student Council

Watch a movie in McGowen Gym and meet IWHS students! Leave with an IWHS goodie bag and a custom charm necklace. Snacks will be provided.

Painting & Pizza - December 6th

When: Friday, December 6th
Where: IWHS Cafeteria
Time: 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Co-sponsored with the Art Department

8th graders will enjoy pizza and paint a special Shamrock on a canvas to take home! The class will be led by our very own art teacher, Dr. Garza.

Christmas Shamrock Game Night - December 12th

Have a fun evening playing trivia, Twister, Jenga, Connect 4, going on a scavenger hunt, and more!

Campus Tour: Schedule Now

Get to know IWHS with an in-person campus tour. In-person tours are a great way for new students and their families to get to know Incarnate Word High School. Campus tours are offered every Wednesday and by appointment only.

Shadow a Shamrock: Schedule Now

Shadow A Shamrock visit allows girls in grade 8 (and any high school transfer students) the opportunity to experience a day in the life of an Incarnate Word High School student. Students will be paired with an IWHS student ambassador to explore the IWHS campus, attend classes and lunch, and learn more about all that IWHS has to offer. Drop-off begins at 7:45am and pick-up is at 3:00pm. Parents/guardians and students are invited back to campus at 3:00pm for an optional Q&A session and school tour.
